The Institute for Life Coach Training is the leading international provider of coach training and web-enabled coaching resources for counselors, psychologists, therapists and other helping professionals.
Founded in 1998 by Dr. Pat Williams, who is himself a psychologist, Master Certified Coach and author of the seminal texts, Becoming a Professional Life Coach and Therapist as Life Coach, the Institute for Life Coach Training has trained thousands of helping professionals throughout the world. ILCT was one of the first coach training programs to be accredited by the International Coach Federation and was recently selected by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) and its affiliate, the Center for Credentialing and Education, to be the first approved provider of training for professionals pursuing the new, Board Certified Coach credential.
The Institute’s rich heritage in the the social sciences enables it to attract and retain a highly accomplished faculty, many of whom are dually trained and qualified in traditional helping professions as well as coaching. Its strong roots in social sciences also makes it an excellent choice for those who have no prior training or experience in behavioral health.
