Ethics, Risk Management and Professional Issues

COURSE ERM

All coaches face risks. Those who face the greatest risks are those who are the least informed and educated.

This class, taught in eight, one hour long sessions, will provide:

  1. an understanding of ethics as defined by a variety of codes applicable to coaches, including a focus on the ICF Code of Ethics
  2. an overview of the legal issues of which coaches should be aware
  3. information about risk management techniques

The format of the class will involve group discussion of case examples.

Costs for the course includes $20 dollars for The Little Book of Ethics for Coaches: Ethics, Risk Management and Professional Issues, 3rd Edition by Dr. Karen Weiner which will be available electronically in the Coaches Community courseroom.
