Ready to begin?
The first step in the Accredited Coach Training Program is to register for and complete the Foundational course.
The Institute for Life Coach Training (ILCT) is approved by the International Coach Federation (ICF) as an Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP) meaning that all courses offered by ILCT can be utilized to meet the coach training requirements for ICF credentials. Our program is a progression of classes designed to enable a student to develop his or her skills as each class is taken, while working towards becoming a professionally-credentialed coach.
Individuals pursuing the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential must complete 60 or more hours of coach-specific training, beginning with ILCT’s Foundational course and at least 20 hours of electives, as well as meeting other ICF-specified requirements before applying to be credentialed under the Portfolio Approach administered by the ICF.
Upon completion of the 130 hours of training students will have met all of the coach training requirements for the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential. The final requiremenst to graduate from ILCT’s ACTP program are the completion of two essays and a final oral exam, conducted by ILCT, allowing students to apply to the ICF for credentialing after meeting other ICF specified criteria.
