Patrick
Williams Invited to Historic International Summit
Lexington, KY Patrick Williams of (Fort collins,
Colorado) was selected as a delegate to the Evolving
the Conversation: A Summit on the Future of Coaching.
This groundbreaking event was held August 10-12, 2006,
in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Forty-three
delegates from 14 nations attended.
"The Profession and discipline of Coaching is
rapidly growing throughout the world," said International
Coach Federation President Pamela Richarde, MCC. "For
the first time, a diverse, international group of thought
leaders sat down to discuss coaching's present and future.
This is an event we will look back on as a cornerstone
in the global evolution of the coaching profession." The
Brainchild of Patrick Williams 3 years ago, his vision
came to reality this weekend in this history making
summit.
Attendees were carefully selected based on geographic
and cultural representation, professional affiliation,
training/education background, business orientation,
coaching specialty, and allied professions.
Williams worked with fellow delegates at the Summit
to discern a path for the enduring success of the profession.
Global challenges to coaching were detailed and addressed.
Finally, the event culminated in the sharing of different
ideas for moving the profession forward.
"This event will further the
possibility of a more unified voice in a very diverse
and international profession," said Richarde.
