Anita Schamber, ACC

Christian Elective Courses

Dr. Anita Schamber comes to ILCT with a passion for encouraging and equipping Christian life coaches who seek to serve clients in various ministries and market place contexts. Anita’s own coaching career began more than 20 years ago, but was formalized through training with the Academy of Coach Training in 2001.

As a leadership coach for World Vision International, Anita had the privilege of introducing coaching to WVI and engaged in training and coaching leaders from 22 different countries on four continents.

For decades following her training with Dick Bolles in What Color is Your Parachute?, Anita’s career management coaching has helped clients from all walks of life through career decisions, transitions, and redirection. Her current “calling/career” project concerns “life reFirement,” which builds coaching support for clients who seek to reignite and redirect energy and calling in fulfilling work or service for the Lord in the fourth quarter of their lives.

Currently, Anita is in private coaching practice through her company, Masterful Life Designs. She is a national facilitator for OneLifeMaps, which provides the Listen to My Life mapping process coupled with coaching and teaches coaching courses at Faith Seminary and for Coaching4Clergy. Her Listen to My Life blog site is www.anitaschamber.com

Anita is an Associate Certified Coach with ICF, a Certified Career Management Coach, a Certified EQ Strategist Coach, and a National Board Certified Counselor. She holds a doctorate in Human Resource Development from Vanderbilt University and a Master’s in Counseling from the University of Illinois. As a lifelong learner herself, she has taught students at every level from 6th grade through doctoral studies.

Anita is married to KR, a retired PGA golf professional; together they rejoice in having a blended family of six adult children, who are married, and have produced twelve grandchildren.

Testimonials

"Anita is a fabulous instructor. Through the two classes I've taken with her, I've grown in my own faith. Through her wisdom and witness I have developed my own faith practices and learned to allow the Holy Spirit to guide my soul as a coach."

– Eileen S.

"I loved Dr. Anita's ability to engage the group in participation - she is so open to other ideas and encouraging. I also love all the resources she shares. I always get so much more than just the syllabus when I take a course with her. The content of the MAPS is such a conversation starter, and a wonderful resource for clients to use between coaching sessions. Thank you for offering the Christian coaching classes and track. All of these wonderful classes and instructors have started me on a new path. Meeting Dr. Anita has most definitely been life changing. Truly a God send! "

– Nicole S.

"Anita did a great job of weaving in personal experience and examples and balancing it with outside materials and different points of view. Her enthusiasm was contagious. Her passion was evident every single class!"
