Born in England, raised on the Mediterranean island of Malta, Dr. Elizabeth-Anne Stewart has 35+ years’ experience offering inner guidance, retreats, and seminars. She holds a PhD in Theology from the University of Malta, Europe, and has published 13 books, including Mind Shifting Imagery: Image Guidance for Life Coaches. Her new book, Unlocking Epiphany Moments: A Primer for Life Coaches & Other Inner Guides, has just been released by Collective Ink, UK. She also publishes Sunday BibleTalk, a weekly E-commentary on the Sunday readings.
One of Elizabeth’s specialties is the use of imagery and archetypes. In 1989, she developed “Image Guidance,” a process that allows clients to find healing through the imagination; over the years, she has worked with countless clients, presenting her research to such groups as The Illinois Nurses Association, Resurrection Healthcare Chaplains, The National Association of Catholic Therapists, Spiritual Directors International, and the C.G. Jung Institute (Chicago). Paulist Press published Image Guidance: A Tool for Spiritual Direction (1992) and Image Guidance and Healing (1994); Mind-Shifting Imagery (2018) adapts Image Guidance for life coaching contexts
In addition to teaching at ILCT and St. Xavier University, Chicago, Elizabeth serves as Director of Studies at The Ministry Coaching Foundation, where she teaches Transformational Coaching. She recently served as a content contributor to CoachBok, the ICF Body of Knowledge Guide, and has volunteered as an Implementary Mastery facilitator for Coaching.com since 2019. Nicknamed "The Great Motivator" when she taught at DePaul University, Elizabeth encourages clients to re-discover the fire within, to re-kindle their enthusiasm, and to re-commit to a life of service.
“Elizabeth had great insight and was able to coach us and guide us through the process. She is a wealth of knowledge and an asset to your institution.”
“Elizabeth Anne is very inclusive, non judgemental and warm. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience and hearing examples and especially her input when we had questions was the most valuable. She opened up my thinking in a very applicable material way that I can put into action”
